Book an appointment online

If you need to see your GP, then you can book an appointment online using our online system.

How to book an appointment

If you require urgent medical attention or advice, please ring the Surgery and speak to your Doctor.  Please do not send such requests via email or via any other form of communication.

All consultations with Doctors and Practice Nurses are by appointment and should be booked before attending the surgery. A number of appointments are reserved each day for patients who have urgent conditions that need to be seen that day. GP appointments are available through our online booking website, but Nurse appointments have to be made over the phone - this is because Practice Nurses and our HCAs perform specific duties in specific clinics, so the most appropriate Nurse needs to be determined by our Receptionists.

A dedicated telephone line has been installed at both surgeries for the purpose of making appointments with the Doctor or Practice Nurse. The numbers are as follows:

The surgeries are open on Saturday mornings to deal with immediate health needs and patients should not expect to be seen for routine matters.

Patients are encouraged to see their usual doctor because this helps continuity of care and is in the interests of good medical practice.

You can also access appointments online via the link at the top of this page.  You will need to register by asking at reception for your unique registration/login details.

Types of appointments

At Ramsbury and Wanborough Surgery, we offer different appointments to help you get the care you need as soon as possible.

Routine appointments

We aim to give you a routine appointment to see a GP within 2-3 weeks but this varies and can sometimes be much quicker.

Evening and weekend appointments

You can now access additional Primary Care Services in the evenings and at weekends.

Improved Access is a Wiltshire-wide initiative where local practices are working together to offer increased availability of services and appointments in the evenings and the weekend. These appointments are available 18:30-20:00 Monday-Friday, and Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.   This collaboration  by  practices  will ensure all patients in Wiltshire  have this option, but this might mean you will be offered an appointment at another practice.

Appointment types will vary - some being face-to-face, some on the phone - and there will be a mixture of bookable and same-day appointments available across the week. We will be offering  appointments with GPs as well as with other healthcare professionals, such as a Practice Nurse or Health Care Assistant . We are keen to balance the importance of continuity of care with convenient access for patients, while ensuring that the service is safe.

To book such an appointment, contact your local Surgery during normal opening times. A receptionist will explain the process, and ensure the booking is appropriate. You will need to give consent to use this service.

PLEASE NOTE : In order to be seen in an appointment in our "Improved Access" evening appointments at Old School House, Burbage or KAMP, we will have to share your medical record with the Surgery that is seeing you for your appointment.  Without your medical record, they may decline to see you as it could put your health at risk.

Urgent appointments

If your appointment is urgent, we’ll arrange for a GP to see you on the same day.

You can also call NHS 111 for general medical advice.
